Otakar Kraus Music Trust was founded by Margaret Lobo in 1991 to provide music and voice therapy for children and young people with physical and mental difficulties.

Music has a universal appeal, moving us at all levels of our being: body, mind and spirit. Its communicative power transcends verbal or physical barriers and unlocks creativity.

Music Therapy harnesses this power to enable people who find it hard to communicate through traditional channels to express and fulfil themselves.

Operating from its centre in Twickenham (with an increasing number of outreach projects in London and the Home Counties) we are staffed by qualified music therapists.

We also have an educational role and provide information to health authorities, education authorities, the media and the general public.

Many in need of therapy are unable to meet the cost and for them the Otakar Kraus Music Trust provides a proportion of the funding required.
